1) Donation br> Clarissa & Vanessa to donate Limited Editions to Children's Hospital. Art is truly a family affair: Over the next five years, Mother and Daughter will be donating several of their limited edition prints to Children's Hospitals through out the United States. Each piece of artwork created by Clarissa and Vanessa Parry will have a limited edition set printed up with each piece numbered and signed by both Mother and Daughter. In each edition the Artist's Proofs will be donated to children's hospitals to assists in the needs of children with many medical and emotional needs. Mother and daughter have dedicated up to 10 prints of each of their editions to be sold at or for the hospitals and usually the Artist's Proofs will be of more value than the remainder of the edition. It is mother and daughter’s, sincere hope that when an art collector calls to inquire of a children’s hospitals of their choice, that the buyer will be kind and donate a generous amount to the hospital. The prints that are going to the hospitals are Lymon & Will Celebration, Carousel Elephant, Carousel Tiger, Gorgeous G, and Three Hilarious Horses, AC Frog, Fast Bananas, Stampede I and Stampede II. Other works of art are currently near completion. 2) Children's Hospital's Children's Hospitals to receive Limited Editions. Please call us at 805.579.8615 with the name of the hospital your interested in helping and we will send you the date of their fund raiser and a contact person. Children’s Hospital, Seattle Thanksgiving Dallas Children’s Hospital Lymon & Will Print In the Union Oil Museum, in Santa Paula, California, in the apartment of Lymon and Will, on the fireplace is one tile of two adorable frogs that seemed to be very happy. Right away Vanessa and I knew that’s what we wanted to paint. We painted a frame around the frogs with the tile floor design found in the Pay Masters office of the Oil Museum. Our frogs are named Lyman and Will. Lyman was one of the original co-founders to Union Oil and later when Lyman retired his son Will followed in his footsteps. In the original fireplace tile it looked as if they were dancing in the rain, but were sure that they were really dancing in their first oil well shower. Will is the one jumping up and down saying, "now I can buy my car" and Lyman seems to be holding his hand across his heart with a sigh of relief saying, "Now we can pay our bills". |
